Laura Bush Killed a Guy. This statement is true and false at the same time. The former first lady was supposedly involved in killing a man, if it can be said so.
The incident happened in 1963 and a long time has passed since the incident took place. Laura was only 17 years old when she was driving her Chevrolet sedan. It hit another car nearby a stop sign intersection point on State Highway 349. The accident occurred at around 8 pm and it was a clear night.
The man inside the car was seriously injured. It is reported that he fell out of the car and broke his neck. His name was Michael Douglas and he was 17 years old. There are some reports that Michael was Laura’s boyfriend at that time. They went together to Robert E. Lee High School in Texas.
Michael Douglas remained under treatment at Midland Memorial Hospital but he could not survive and died due to neck breakage.
Michael was nominated as the most popular boy of the school and he was a good athlete at Laura’s High School. Some people think that Laura was drinking at the time she was driving the car. But Police agencies clarified that she was not driving the car after drinking. She was driving at a speed of 50 MPH where the allowed speed limit was 55 MPH. According to a report published in 200, she was not held responsible for killing the man. She was also under 18 years of age at that time.
